Business Aviation is an important part of the global air transport system. As an individual means of transport, it offers direct flights in line with the needs of business travelers, specialists and private travelers. Around 10 percent of all Business Aviation flights in Europe serve humanitarian purposes such as transporting seriously ill patients, medical personnel and life-saving transplant organs. During the Corona pandemic, ambulance jets flew Corona intensive care patients from regions with overcrowded hospitals to regions where intensive care capacity was available, saving lives. Business jets transported vaccines to remote areas and islands around the world, including in Europe.
The global business aircraft fleet currently includes about 23,000 business jets and about 15,000 turboprop-powered aircraft.
At AERO 2023 (April 19-22), the Business Aviation Conference on the morning of April 20 will be a dedicated session with high-level industry representatives dedicated to important business aviation topics. It will be organized in cooperation with the GBAA (German Business Aviation Association). This will be followed directly by the IDRF conference on the future of regional airports.
