Aviation and sustainability don't go together? No way! The aviation industry is a pioneer in research and development for alternative engines, new, sustainable fuels and emission-free mobility. There are already the first certified electric aircraft flying emission-free.
To highlight the manufacturers and institutions that are particularly involved in the topic of sustainability and innovative technologies, there will once again be the AERO Sustainable Aviation Trail this year. Along the trail on the fair grounds, all exhibitors committed to sustainability in aviation will once again be marked with a green balloon above their stand in 2023. The spectrum of products and services ranges from engines to fuels, lightweight technologies, new aircraft types, drones, and flight planning software that enables optimized routings.
Zero emission mobility as a common goal across the industries - whether on the road, in the air or in space - motivates us to develop advanced engineering and manufacturing solutions for the future. We believe that it is key to utilize synergies across these industries to speed up and to enable the technological transition.
We will focus on areas for potential industry synergies like the variation of powertrains, manufacturing services, automotive based semiconductors and advanced engineering expertise.

This presentation covers the fundamentals of flying with ForeFlight. You will learn how to setup and navigate the ForeFlight app, find airport information, look at weather, build a route, brief and file a flight plan, and more. An overview of recently added features is also covered. As a new or existing customer, you can expect to walk away with ForeFlight know-how you can use on your next flight.
Speaker: Caitlin Galloway, Product Manager ForeFlight
Moderated by Willi Tacke – Flying pages
